Accredited Company Program

The AGWA Accredited Company Program elevates AGWA members above companies without accreditation. It provides a comprehensive framework to develop and demonstrate the skills, experience, safety and integrity of a company’s production systems, by formal recognition and promotion of a company's competence and expertise in window production, glazing and related activities. The program formally demonstrates that a company is providing a high level of workmanship and products, while complying with national and state based Regulations. 

The program has three pillars:

  1. Compliance
  2. Skills and Training
  3. Safety

AGWA Accreditation is about confidence and peace of mind – for members, consumers and the industry – that the products supplied and installed comply with Australian Standards and conform to the National Construction Code (NCC). Details of the Annual Compliance Audit Scheme are listed below.

Compliance Pillar Glazing

Provides Accredited Companies with the means to independently demonstrate product performance and compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standard (AS) 2047 Windows and external glazed doors in buildings, Australian Standard (AS) 1288 Glass in buildings and other relevant Australian Standards applicable to the project being reviewed.

Compliance Pillar Manufacturing

Provides Accredited Companies with the means to independently demonstrate product performance and compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standard (AS) 2047 Windows and external glazed doors in buildings, Australian Standard (AS) 1288 Glass in buildings and other relevant Australian Standards applicable to the project being reviewed.

Safety Pillar

Assist Accredited Companies in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and recognise best practice WHS management and employee engagement in promoting safety and well-being in the workplace.

Training Pillar

Ensure Accredited Companies have the technical ‘know-how’ to achieve consistent and reliable performance and provide a continuing professional development program that allows Accredited Companies to maintain the currency of their skills and improve competency within their workforce.
