National Technical Alert: AS 1926.1 Safety barriers for swimming pools - Public Comment

Published 25 October 2023

It has been 11 years since AS 1926.1 was released and the pool fence market has evolved a lot in this time; AS1926.1:2023 seeks to update a lot of these changes. AGWA has been involved in expanding the sections around glazing and testing requirements for pool fencing; during this process we identified a lack of testing pathway for pool fencing both in this standard but also in AS1288:2021 and sought to clear this confusion up.

We encourage members to read these updated elements and either submit your own direct comments or provide feedback to AGWA for us to review in relation to our response.
