NatHERS expansion: Stage 2 rolling out from July!

The release of Stage 2 of NatHERS for existing homes has been confirmed for July 2026. This exciting news follows 12 months of collaborative work with assessors and other key partners to enhance processes, software tools and communications for the program.

The July release includes an exciting array of improvements including:

assessor training and accreditation opening up to all applicants, to support growth in the assessor workforce
updated tools and assessment methods to streamline assessments, expected to reduce an average 3 bedroom home assessment to around 2.5 hours (including both on and off-site)
an updated Home Energy Rating Certificate with upgrade guidance tailored to the home.
