MASTER GLAZIER

The Master Glazier Program is run by AGWA as a standalone scheme, available to all active or in-training glaziers. The scheme was designed by AGWA to recognise the knowledge and skill that glaziers develop after years in the industry and to highlight this to consumers. What better way to set yourself apart from the competition and instil confidence in consumers, than by promoting yourself as a Master Glazier?

Joining the Master Glazier Program is a very easy process. You just need to complete an application form and include details such as qualifications, references, work history (resume) and some photos of your work (specialisation portfolio). As well as being able to set yourself apart from other glaziers, you will be able to increase your credibility in the marketplace by using
the AGWA Master Glazier logo on all your business and promotional documents and be listed on the AGWA website as a Master Glazier.

Once you have been accepted into the Master Glazier Program, it is also very simple to renew. Renewal of your status requires you to accrue 10 CPD Points each year to demonstrate currency of information and skills. This might seem overwhelming but most of you do more than enough during the year – you just need to document it. AGWA also has helpful summary sheets that outline what can give you CPD points including your subscription to BuiltView magazine, supervising an apprentice, attending webinars and forums and answering a few questions on AGWA Technical Fact Sheets (most of these are included as part of your AGWA membership).

For more information on the AGWA Master Glazier Program please see the Master Glazier Program Manual and the Master Glazier Program Application Form and Master Glazier CPD Allocation Manual. For more information on the AGWA Master Glazier Program please email [email protected].
